Minimum Wage

The Employment & Industrial Relations Act establishes the national minimum wages payable to personnel. The National Weekly Minimum Wage as determined for 2015 is shown below:

Overtime

Overtime rates paid are regulated by the Wage Regulation Order (WRO) and may vary from one economic sector to another. In general overtime is paid at one and a half times the normal rate on weekdays and twice the normal rate on Sundays and public holidays.

Statutory Bonus

Employees are entitled to receive quarterly statutory bonuses during the year. The designed bonuses are fixed amounts as shown below.

Social Security Contributions

Social security contributions are paid 10% each by the employer and the employee respectively. 

The employer must ensure that the Social Security Contributions are made to the Commissioner by the end of the month following that on which payment of emoluments was made. The payment is to be made by means of FS5 form.

E ​Students  under 18 years of age.

Paid Annual Leave

Employees working 40 hours per week are entitled to 192 hours of paid annual leave (24 working days), 4 days of which should not form part of a factory shut down.
